![]() TC Villavicencio was able to have the caller place the gentleman on the floor and start CPR. TC Villavicencio took a 911 call in Winthrop Harbor for an 82-year-old man not breathing. We appreciate your dedication to building strong relationships with our students and community. Once again, thank you to the Mundelein Police Department, Officer Freese, and Ranger for taking the time to visit our school. We couldn't be more grateful for the efforts of Officer Freese and Ranger in making this happen. Their participation contributed to our program's mission to build a positive relationship between our students and community partners. We're thrilled to say that our students reacted very positively to their presentation. Ranger even showed off some of his impressive tricks, and the students had a chance to ask questions and interact with both Officer Freese and Ranger. As part of the Hawthorn School of Dual Language, we wanted to express our gratitude to the Mundelein Police Department, Officer Freese, and Ranger for taking the time to visit our school.ĭuring their visit, Officer Freese shared with the students about the process of getting a K9, Ranger's training, and some of the exciting things they get to do together while on duty. Officer Kevin Freese and his K9 partner, Ranger,paid a visit to the students of Aprendiendo Jugando, one of our after-school programs at Hawthorn District 73. Officer Kevin Freese and K9 Ranger, received a thank you letter that stated the following: TC Trujillo, TC Villavicencio, and TC Miller all displayed excellent team work with updating each other and officers of pertinent information, coordinating rescue to respond in a timely/safe manner, and prioritizing calls for service. TC Trujillo, TC Villavicencio, and TC Miller handled the incident in a professional and courteous manner, all while being inundated with 911 calls. On 05/20 at 1937hrs North Chicago had a shots fired incident that subsequently led to a homicide. Also helped finish the project I started last year! They all worked really hard and ended up covered in mud. The thank you letter stated: “Dear Jennifer, Thanks so much for your work putting this project together! And for the volunteers from Action Marshal Arts and the Mundelein Fire Department. Jennifer does a lot of hard work putting this annual project together that helps citizens with yard work or chores that they can't get done by themselves. On 05-15-2023, Jennifer House received a very nice thank you letter from a citizen that participated in A-May-Zing Mundelein. Thank you for all that you and your entire department do. She truly does an amazing job and I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate her and everything she does each and every day. ![]() Officer Sexton goes out of her way to make sure we all know we have her support. I know the staff in all buildings trust her and feel they can go to her both personally and professionally. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, but she goes out of her way to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families, is a strong advocate, is a huge support to all who work with her and is a very trusted and respected officer within our schools. I've been extremely fortunate to work with her over the past 2 years and wanted to share with you how phenomenal she has been. ![]() "I wanted to send an additional note to recognize all that Officer Sexton does for our D75 schools. ![]() Officer Sexton is the School Resource Officer (SRO) for the entire district. The Chief received a letter from School District 75 regarding Officer Sexton. Thank you for taking the time to recognize one of Mundelein’s finest. By calling and speaking to a supervisor, sending in a card, or sending an email to you are voicing your appreciation and gratitude for a job well done. Please keep your public servants in mind the next time you see a Mundelein Police Department employee performing above the call of duty or providing customer service beyond your expectations. Our employees have committed themselves to serve the citizens of Mundelein with courage, pride and commitment. From the officers on the street to our dispatchers and records specialists, the department provides employees with a framework for prompt and courteous service. Members of our department strive to provide excellent customer service, practice selfless acts of kindness and perform acts of heroism.
